Built for City Life - Hyundai i10
Hyundai isn’t a name that immediately springs to mind for a lot of folk when looking for a car. Don’t be fooled though because Hyundai is now right up there is a producer of well built, reliable, comfy and smartly designed cars.
And if you are looking for a city car, the Hyundai i10 is one of the best around. It’s everything that a city car should be…light to drive, roomy, decent sized boot and economical. Five doors come as standard. It also has quite a high driving position which makes it ideal for punting around streets.
Power comes for a sweet spinning 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine which develops 66bhp. That’s more than enough for zipping around city streets and will also mean that the i10 can keep pace with quicker traffic on motorways. To help put economy at the top of the agenda, we’ve gone for a 5-speed manual gearbox rather than an auto. You should manage close to 50mpg. You’ll also find that this little Hyundai is remarkably quiet and very civilised to drive.
Don’t assume that you have to manage with the bare minimum in terms of kit. Powered windows all round, air con, leather trimmed steering wheel, halogen daytime running lights, cruise control, heated and powered wing mirrors, Bluetooth and a load of safety equipment all come with this Hyundai i10. Impressive huh?
This is an ideal car for city commuters or for the school and shopping runs.
Small car. Big heart.
