Kia Sorento Review | A Comprehensive Car Review by Wagonex

Kia is a company on the move. It’s also a firm that a lot of folks don’t immediately think of when it comes to looking for cars. Pity, because they’re missing a trick. The quality and range of Kia cars continue to improve year on year. 

This is their latest model, the Kia Sorento, and we’re delighted to have the latest hybrid version here at Wagonex. 

It’s a hunky yet very stylish 7-seat car. The 1.6 litre petrol engine is extremely quiet when it bursts into life, and you can travel for up to 35 miles on electric power only. For many people, that will be their daily commute which means the potential for a Monday - Friday shuttle using zero petrol. If you intend on racking up the miles, you’ll find that the Sorento is a seriously comfortable motorway cruiser. The engine and battery-driven motor will work alongside each other to provide power (261bhp) and efficiency. When the engine isn’t needed, it shuts down. 

Every Sorento comes with an all-wheel-drive and an auto ‘box. 

The Sorento PHEV comes with the fully equipped level 3 trim (no fancy names with Kia!) which includes sat-nav, powered tailgate, cruise control, electric heated seats (the outer two on the second row are also heated), reversing camera, rear parking sensors and powered windows and mirrors. Build quality is excellent. 

And don’t be fooled by the size of the Sorento. The high seating position makes it simple to punt around town. It’s great to drive and handles really well. Kids love being in the 3^rd row at the back.
