Audi A6 Review | A Comprehensive Car Review by Wagonex
Okay…we might be biased over here at Wagonex but the Audi A6 Avant TDi is one of our favourite cars here at Wagonex. It’s incredibly popular. Not only does it look fantastic and drive superbly, but it is also incredibly versatile. It will comfortably seat 5 adults and cope with all of their baggage on a holiday trip, and if you flop the rear seats forward, you have a vast load area for anything bigger than your normal luggage.
It has a massive dose of style which means it’ll look perfect at home sitting in the company car park or outside your favourite, swish restaurant. The Avant will have no problem taking your recycling to the tip. The boot space with the seats up is 565 litre which equates, according to Audi, to 14 of the sort of cases you can carry onto an aeroplane. With the seats down you can treble that.
The Wagonex Audi A6 Avant TDi comes with a powerful yet economical 2.0 litre 187bhp diesel engine. Go easily and you’ll manage 51.2 mpg which means, if you brim the tank, there’s a potential for 979 miles. Emissions are 187g/km CO2. The front wheels are driven via a 7-speed semi-automatic gearbox.
The interior is a wonderful place to be. We reckon that the Audi build quality is arguably the best of the big manufacturers; honed from granite is a typical phrase you’ll hear.
You also get a terrific standard of kit in the A6 Avant which comes with Ultra S trim. This gives you climate control, satellite navigation, leather upholstery, cruise control, LED front and rear lights, powered tailgate, and parking sensors amongst a long list of goodies.
It’s hard to think of a car that is better than the Audi A6 Avant when it comes to long-distance cruising. It is a wonderfully relaxing car to drive, made for the longer journeys, rather than the quick city trips.
If you are looking for a happy medium between an SUV and a van, this is perfect for your needs. It’s practical, comfy, and has a mean look, especially when you use the front lights.
